Paste

What is Paste and how is it made?

It is a foodstuff produced for the use of vegetables, which are more abundant and delicious in summer, in winter. Tomato paste products, which are added to almost every dish, are used to add colour and flavour to the food. It is a pureed foodstuff produced by boiling the water obtained after the vegetables grown in the summer months such as tomatoes and red peppers are crushed in various ways and their water is extracted.

There are two types of tomato paste products, tomato paste and red pepper paste, depending on the vegetable produced. Tomato paste products are also divided into two as hot processing and cold processing according to production conditions. The puree obtained in tomato paste varieties produced by hot processing is prepared by cooking. In the cold processing method, the puree is prepared raw. Making tomato paste raw or cooked does not make any difference in terms of taste.
