SUDAN ARABIC GUM
Gum arabic is a natural forest product and is known by the trade name "Gum Arabic". The acacia genus, especially Acacia, is obtained from Senegal (usually known as Hashab). Its varieties show a wide distribution. These trees are resistant not only to drought, but also to cold due to their high adaptability characteristics. Of course, it can multiply from its seeds, as well as it is possible to reproduce vegatatively from its seeds.Hashab is mainly spread in Central Sudan. The purity of its varieties gives Sudan the title of being the largest producer and exporter, as well as the best quality gum arabic producer. Sudan meets 80% of the world's gum arabic needs.
